Guitar Sessions 50: Play Bob Dylan’s “Tomorrow Is a Long Time”

In this episode of Guitar Sessions, I share how to play Bob Dylan’s “Tomorrow Is a Long Time,” a song that I’ve loved and played informally offstage for many years, and that came back into the spotlight recently when Timothée Chalamet performed it on SNL.

“Tomorrow Is a Long Time” is a beautiful, tender, and very simple song with three chords, played with alternating bass fingerpicking. My arrangement stays close to the Dylan version released on Greatest Hits Vol. II but adds a few elements: I vary the chord voicings a bit and play a fingerstyle instrumental break.

You can find my full performance at 13:49 in the full lesson, or here as a separate video post.

As with all the episodes in this series, you can find a lyric/chord chart and tab over on Patreon.
