American Beauties
In August 2020, Dead to the Core performed two special streaming concerts to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Grateful Dead’s beloved albums Workingman’s Dead and American Beauty.
The group then released all the songs individually, in album sequence (plus outtakes!), on YouTube and Facebook, with performances by Jefferson Hamer, Natalia Zukerman, Steve Roy and David Surette, Ryan Fitzsimmons with Laurence Scudder and Jim Larkin, and Jeffrey Pepper Rodgers Band. The JPR Band also released its seven songs, recorded for the project in a backyard live session, in an EP American Beauties exclusively on Patreon.
